'Minecraft Dungeons' will Arrive In April 2022.

Game developer Mojang last year announced that it was working on Minecraft Dungeons -- a blocky version of classic dungeon crawlers. Now we know when we can expect it to land. It was originally scheduled for 2019. Microsoft now says the game will launch on Xbox One, PC, Switch and PS4 in April next year.

The game has a distinctive Minecraft style and feel however, it also challenges the series' standard game's formula. Dungeons lets players let their imaginations run wild across a vast, open field. It's an adventure game that can be played online with up to four players.

Dungeons is something of an obsession for the team of a few at Mojang However, it's not the only Minecraft spin-off. Mojang was also the main developer of Minecraft: Story Mode. This adventure game with a narrative based on it was to be extremely popular after it was released in the year 2015.

According to Microsoft's latest trailer which is a bit hazy, players who sign up through Mojang will have the chance to play Dungeons first. This could hint at an initial beta before the official launch in April. Although when exactly that will happen is not yet clear.
